SnapSlice support
Prepare, slice, preview and send U1 prints from an iPhone. If something goes wrong, include the model format, the screen or step, and the exact message when you contact us.
Before you print
Check the on-screen model, tool assignments, actual loaded filament, material and temperatures. Review the generated G-code and supervise the first layer of a new profile or model. SnapSlice is an independent app for the U1; it is not an official Snapmaker product.
Current limitations
- Printer connection, upload, status and camera require a reachable Snapmaker U1, normally on the same Wi-Fi network. SnapSlice does not provide a remote relay or background push alerts.
- STL and supported 3MF geometry, parts and painted colors can be imported. Not every 3MF project format is supported, and source slicer profiles or creator print settings are not transferred. Verify the preview, colors and U1 settings before slicing.
- Tool colors reported by the printer may be missing or out of date. Confirm each spool at the printer before a multicolor print.
- The app supports up to four placed copies. Very large or complex models can exceed iPhone memory or slicing limits.
- Support tools use the selected material temperature; different-material support interfaces are not implemented. Painted projects use the base-color tool for normal supports.
- The camera is shown through refreshed images, rather than a continuous video stream. Model repository links open the original sites; there is no combined in-app search or automatic U1 profile conversion.
If you can reproduce a problem, tell us your iPhone model, iOS version, U1 firmware, model format, and the last slicing stage or error. You may attach a model only if you have permission to share it.
