Privacy policy

SnapSlice slices models on your iPhone and connects directly to the printer address you choose. It does not require a SnapSlice account or a developer-hosted slicing service.

Information kept on your device

Imported STL and 3MF files, generated G-code and recent job information are stored locally on your iPhone. The app also saves your printer address and preparation settings on the device so they remain available when you return. SnapSlice does not send these files or settings to its developer as part of normal operation.

Printer connections

When you connect to a Snapmaker U1, SnapSlice exchanges printer status, filament details, file lists and camera images directly with the printer address you entered. If you choose to upload G-code or start a print, the app sends that command or file to the printer. These connections may use the printer’s local HTTP service and may not be encrypted. Keep your printer network secure and do not expose its service directly to the public internet.

Outside links and support

Links to model repositories open third-party websites, which apply their own privacy practices. If you email support or send feedback, your email address and the information you choose to include are received by the support mailbox and used to respond and investigate the issue. Please do not send private models unless you are comfortable sharing them and have permission to do so.

Analytics, advertising and data sharing

SnapSlice does not include third-party advertising or developer-operated analytics and does not sell personal data. Apple may process App Store downloads, TestFlight feedback, and optional device diagnostics under Apple’s own policies.

Your choices

You can remove local jobs in the app or uninstall SnapSlice to remove its local data. Files already uploaded to a printer are managed on that printer and are not removed by uninstalling the app. You can stop printer access by disconnecting from the printer or changing the address in SnapSlice.
